Worst game ever. Literally there's a 15 minute tutorial and everything in the tutorial is all you do for the entire game.
Play RuneScape with me fam. You can do everything you can do in Diablo 3 and about 10,000 times more. There are THOUSANDS of hours of gameplay.
I agree with you that diablo 3 sucks but diablo 1 and 2 are way better than runescape, runescape is for autist to the max -

yeah, that's kind of the point really. get messed up, zone out, click stuff until it explodes, get bigger numbers
if you're actually interested in an action RPG/liked Diablo 2, Grim Dawn is really quite good. made by the guys who did Titan Quest but the engine and mechanics have been improved -

runescape is for autist to the max
Runescape is an actual "game", in that you can do whatever the fuck you want. You can walk around begging for change or telling random players you're going to rape their moms while autofollowing them and spinning in circles. You can tell Ashley to kill a bunch of cows and then she does it and resents you forever for it. You can scam players into running into a PvP area with you by convincing them they're in it for a quest or something. You can cut wood and then light fires under players feet and then greentext imblications at them. You can collect serotonin thingies and sell it on the stock market. You can rob somebody and then kill him for getting mad at you. You can get a bunch of people to go with you deep in the desert and then teleport away so they die of thirst (well that was limited to RS2 because now you can teleport anywhere) Etc. Runescape is only autist to the max if you've played/are playing Runescape 2. Diablo is basically running around killing shit by spamming "abilities" in a pattern.; In RS3 they added an abilities bar and function so you can basically massacre random things with imaginary powerups like you do in any other RPG, while also having access to all the other skills, quests, and minigames. The boss fights in RS3 are hard as fuck and you have to do them in groups. -

because the combat is fucky and the entire thing i'm unfamiliar with. rs3 feels like uncanny valley. rs2 carries nostalgia for me and i know how to do everything already.

If you go to settings you can put RS3 on "legacy combat mode" and "legacy interface mode" which makes it just like an enhanced RS2 -

if my best friend dies i dont want a new best friend wearing my old best friend's skin. i enjoy rs2's simplicity and poor graphics, i enjoy the rote methods of levelling and money making, rs3 will never be that same way. it's fine if you like it but to say that rs2 is for autists is short-sighted and naive. -

Well when people say "runescape sucks" they're usually referring to what the remember of runescape 2. I disagree as well, I think runescape 2 was fun as well, but by most traditional standards it was more like Middle Ages Sims: Grinding Edition. Not really a "game" and more like a work of interactive art. Runerape 3 takes the elements of runerape 2 and makes it fit into a more traditional MMORPG layout while still retaining all of its complexity and uniqueness. There's no game on the earth anything like runerape. -

Space station 13. Playing as chef is fun if you are traitor because you can cook your targets into delicious hamburgers or cake and feed them to the rest of the crew

anyone here like system shock 2?
I'm ashamed to say I've never played it. It seems awesome, but at the same time I've heard you can actually build your character's stats in a way that make the game literally impossible to finish. I have a hard enough time finishing games without watching out for landmines like that. -

that sounds like strife
except i could probably beat system shock but strife's harder as an fps than as an rpg -

On that note though, LCS is a great game. Nothing like Dwarf Fortress really, but fantastic nonetheless.

i was also heavily into playing return to the castle of wolfenstein online, nothing more satisfying than flame throwing european nazi's straight to hell.
I was very sheltered as a kid and I didn't have a lot of outlets so I played a lot of 3d shooters / rpg's. back when the internet was cooler.
I don't really play video games anymore but It always brings me back to think about the online fun I used to have.
