2016-08-13 at 6:15 AM UTCWeeabooism is a disease. It makes me sad that many of my countrymen, some real intelligence and talent among them, abdicate the greatness of the western tradition. I'm sympathetic in a way, they feel so alienated from the modern culture they seek refuge in another but it's a pathological condition, not a true assessment. Our civilization is by no reckoning the oldest, yet it is proud. From Socrates to now we are the very natural extension of a line of thought that has been passed down through the generations, from our fathers to us, and which some, for their lack of perspective, lose in vanity or banality. There is nothing wrong with admiring another culture, with tolerating, exchanging, and coming to understand. But we can not unlearn what we are, denial of the tradition, the universe in which we are conceived is tantamount to surrender, admission of defeat, a cowardice.

"Another philosophic post of excellent quality, stressing the importance of western culture over foreign ones like Japanese." Lanny though to himself as he clicked sent post. "Boy i do hope Hillary Clinton wins, the democrats have a standing tradition of protecting western culture." He seemed to remember as he put on the next episode of "Watashi ga Motenai no wa Dou Kangaetemo Omaera ga Warui!" -

2016-08-13 at 8:29 AM UTCIs Lanny really watching WataMote or is there a specific reason you chose that? I actually started watching it this week after just scrolling through my patched/cracked crunchyroll app looking for something appealing.

This is how my country feels about Americans. I was just at 7-11 with the comrades and we were discussion local regional variety chips like ketchup and all dressed and one comrade interjects "I wonder if they have chips only sold in the USA" And another comrade replied "Yeah, Bacon greese and lard flavor"
TOP KEK

2016-08-13 at 1:58 PM UTCHitler would have killed all of you disgusting weaklings. *spits on the ground*
Anime fans are by far the worst people. Worse than SJW, Niggers, jedis, all of them together.
You disgust me so fucking much it's unreal. -
2016-08-13 at 2 PM UTCI'm not even Japanese but I feel offended by your existence. Please meet me in Rotterdam so we can end this.

I have no particular love for the american democratic party (they're politically closer to the GOP than they are to me, they just happen to be the left-most viable american political party) but what exactly have democrats specifically done to insult western culture? The democratic party isn't even unified on immigration, which is such a minor issue culturally (and you should support an open border policy anyway, mr "regional monopolies don't exist in free markets").Is Lanny really watching WataMote or is there a specific reason you chose that? Started after this thread. It's been in my backlog for ages. -

Besides importing left voting third worlders and mexicans to stack the deck democrat and promoting multiculturalism, not much. The democratic party isn't even unified on immigration, which is such a minor issue culturally (and you should support an open border policy anyway, mr "regional monopolies don't exist in free markets").
I would support an open border policy if there were no welfare state.Started after this thread. It's been in my backlog for ages.
Is it any good? I was considering watching as well. -

Non citizens can't vote though...
Also multiculturalism that you see in the US is no risk to american nor western culture. Whatever argument you want to make about the economics of it there is no cultural institution that is threatened by more mexicans north of the border. Is it any good? I was considering watching as well.
Yeah, I like it. Similar themes to Welcome to the NHK but played for laughs as opposed to drama/social commentary. It might be a little idiom-heavy but you've probably watched enough anime that it isn't an issue. It is SoL so don't expect a plot -

2016-08-14 at 6:40 PM UTCIs it weird that i'm from Holland and enjoy American country music? I guess it fits my right leaning disposition towards politics and preference for white people.
