yeah i thought about that, It's a fine line whats shit poasting and whats not. I wouldnt like to ban people but I think we can give them their own thread. and maybe have a confrence with them personally where they get 3 demarits for just not falling in line.
this demarit system would only work for established members we already know. But other people like my ex gf. Would be banned immediately.
This forum is dying, and I appreciate what lanny has done for us, but I'd like something a lil bit more substantial in the near future. -

Anyway, do we even have the user base to support something like this? I'm honestly a proponent of only having one or two subsections because they make the forum look more alive. This one only has about ten people who actively post here and when everything is spread out it makes the site look dead.

I dunno, he's an acquaintance from "the old days", but I've never had any close interaction with him. I guess we never posted in the same sections or something.
Yeah, I think we definitely have a userbase to support this. There's a few of us here the hangout everyday. I was toying with the idea of an IRC channel and some other fun-but-useless stuff like ftp/gopher whatevs.This forum is dying, and I appreciate what lanny has done for us, but I'd like something a lil bit more substantial in the near future.

I try to be active in my free time, although I'm not posting as much informative threads as I'd like to (I wanna post stuff about exercise and about linux, I'll write it out when Im bumming it out from airport to airport the next few days).
I see your point about drugs, pizza, and skateboards, but I just steer clear of those sections there and stick to the normal stuff. I would hate for that stuff to endanger the discussions in technophiliacs though. -

Yeah I have to give credit where credit is due, Sophie and LiquidIce have been turning out some killer tech threads lately. I'm pretty happy with them and will be reading them in depth later.
We all bitch about bad posters but I try to recognize the good ones now and again. SBTlauren or whatever his/her fucking name is is alright too. Lanny always have valuable input on code.

I dont understand how you will go about this or how this isnt something we could do here. Honestly there are wayyyy more forums out there that are already established that talk about these things and dont have a cancerous userbase. -
