2016-02-16 at 7:08 AM UTCIf you don't have anything to hide then be less paranoid, if you do keep it up. PMs are broken so I don't know what you'd be trying to hide anyway. I won't lie, my opsec is pretty shitty. I've done the bare minimum to ward off DDoS attacks (we had a few significant ones early on, nothing worth noting in a while) and like sysadmin 101 stuff (disable root login, fail2ban, the standard iptables setup etc) but I think one of log dirs is publicly available lol(although there's nothing sensitive there) and I've hand patched the code in a few places so god only knows what kind of downstream issues that caused.
Also you probably shouldn't take my word one way or another on the matter, gag orders and such. I think zok actually did get one once, although I don't imagine we draw enough attention for that kind of thing anymore. -

At least you're honest. I'm just a paranoid person and I think I'll continue to use anonymizing shit. That sucks PMs are disabled I should have a few messages coming down the pipes. This place is so broken and shitty it's kinda endearing. Even ol simple machines ass tainted browser had working PMs. I think I messaged you asking you to run it before, don't remember.
Do you think this place has lasting/expansive potential? -

NSA is busy doing other stuff, inb4lock taught me you should consider your threat model before you go overboard with the OPSEC. Are there any reasons law enforcement would be interested in your online activities? Do you commit cyber crimes, like horde bots for a botnet, steal data from big corperations? Are you involved in the pedo scene, either by creating content, hosting sites related to such content, trading said content or hoarding said content? Do you have beef with the Russian cyber mafia? If you answered no to all these questions, a couple browser extensions a vpn and maybe TOR are all you need. -

SWIM committed a bunch of credit card fraud in 2014/early 2015 but was pretty careful about it. He was basically printing that "perfect money" shit with non avs cards and converting it to bitcoin, exploiting holes in payment gateways. Didn't always work but it was kinda fucked. Also was a vender on a (now defunct) darknet site, other than that nothing I can imagine would raise red flags, although I have made vaugue threats against public officials/Israel on a reddit account I I compensate for my small penis with my (then) home IP before. I might get torguard again, I liked that because you could use it on 5 devices and my buddy will probably want it too, plus I have two phones that should be using it. Maybe I am paranoid but that doesn't mean they're not after me gotta find a way a better way I BETTER WAAAAAIIIIIIITTTTTTTT
