I don't know what it is about it that pisses me off so much. I honestly can't explain it. Am I alone in this?
Remember in the old days when people would hate on others for using "lol", on the basis that they weren't really laughing out loud? Well this emoji implies so much more -- that they're laughing so hard that tears are coming out of their eyes. I dunno, there's more to it than that but I can't pin point it.

I don't mind it alone but it does piss me off that the trend with it is to post AT LEAST three of that emoji one after the other, as if one doesn't convey how ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS they find something to be. I rarely just see one of it. Always fucking three.

I agree with you man. Ive always seen it used in a manner that conveyed they are laughing so hard at your stupidity in a smug way..
Like in youtube in the comments section i see people reply to someones political opinion and some chick will write a stupid stereotypical comment like "must be a drumpf supporter! *emoji face*"
So they can seem superior without even saying anything of substance.
I think most of the people that use that emoji are far left leaning college girls

just a few minutes ago this girl sent me a sob story thru text how her dog got attacked by another dog and then how she let some guy stay at her place that she barely knew to watch her dogs, and how they shit all over the house cause he wouldnt walk them cuz it was cold outside and how he smoked cigs in her house and the dogs ate the cig butts
