Originally, Metaphysicist had named the site The Damage Done. Then after several months, at my suggestion, he re-represented the site as The Damaged One, and I also created and supplied the "Pointing Finger" graphic which loaded as a banner when you first logged into the site. After Metaphysicist had totally abandoned the Totse ideals, I severed my partnership with him, and to this day the site is still known as The Damaged One, although many of the site's founding members still use the TDD abbreviation.

In Canada, the government will actually come down on you for making statements critical of the government. RCMP is the equivalent of the FBI (on horseback with long rifles, I might add), and CSIS is the equivalent of the CIA. Free speech critical of anything at all is very much frowned upon in Canada, even though it is already guaranteed in the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. So-called "hate" laws abound. Intelligence informants are everywhere. The Thought Police are just around every corner. You could very, very easily land yourself in jail just for posting your opinion. It's basically a communist/socialist-based country now, headed by a bleeding-heart, terrorist-hugging, vote-digging, sneaky, uber-radical-Liberal Snowflake Master.

It was a play on words.. you could take it either way.. the inside joke of Metaphysicist being The Damaged One, and the end of an era, The Damage Done. I designed the "Finger of Doom".
