A man needs to work. It’s important to feel like we contribute in order to be happy. Get back to work, unless you can’t.
It's not a super exciting story.
The US government made me an offer I couldn't refuse for my advertising agency, so they could basically use it for propaganda in the greater middle east. My agency (as an actual ad agency) was not remotely worth as much as they paid, it just happened to be well positioned for their needs. I would literally never be able to make that kind of money if I just continued to work and run it as a normal ad agency, plus I would spend the rest of my life grinding in unstable sandy shitholes, fighting local media consortiums and punching for shekels. So there was never any question about me taking the money. I made out like a bandit.
Now the thing about working is, I am never going to work some wage slave job. It will never happen, and it's not even about the money. In my mind, my talents far exceed any normie job, and the whole reason I started my own business was because I hate working for retards. I've been debating doing something like becoming a travel blogger or one of those instagram fags who travels to places and takes pictures with a camera I don't even understand, then posts sponsored shit for money. Idk. Maybe if I got a job offer front a F500 company or something, and the pay compares to my own valuation for myself, then I might do it. But short of that, I won't work a job, I have "fuck you" money and I would probably go "fuck you" the 2nd time a retard boss fucks with me. -

That’s cool. You should just do what you want, even if it’s for free. If you don’t need the money, donate your time in doing something you care about.
Travel blogging could be good. I have a blog myself (not about travel). I haven’t built up a huge following yet, but maybe one day. I do basically for free (actually I lose money with it), but I enjoy writing about the topics I write about. Plus I’ve helped some people with what I write about, which is really why I started it to begin with.
I’m still doing the wage slave thing. One day I’ll have enough fuck you money, but not yet. Plus, I enjoy what I do, I’m good at it, and I earn a lot doing it.
How much did you get when you sold your business? You probably won’t answer that, but I figured I would ask. -

Second, I'm not talking about my sexual peak. My life is basically over.
I have made my money and now I'm retired. Now I'm just chilling in Florida like a 65 year old jedi. Most likely, I'm going to find some girl to be my wife, have kids and live myself to death doing jack shit but whittling away at the days.
I mean, it's comfort but I don't call that happiness. I don't know what would make me happy.
Travel certainly isn't it, I've tried that but it's either kind of boring or masochistic (like retarded crackers who go to India and visit sweaty, disgusting shitholes because they think it's spiritual or some shit). There are some cool places but I've been to a lot of them already and there's nowhere I really have a pressing desire to go spend a year or so travelling through or living in. I go on little vacations but why would I go live for 5 months in Hong Kong or whatever? Makes no sense to me.
I'm taking courses at UCF for fun (philosophy, history, classics etc) but I'm beginning to get tired of that. I'm trying hobbies like woodworking etc. It's okay, I have some fun. But the point is that I'm basically past my days in the sun.
maybe suicide? -

I don't mind saying that
In total, I received cash + assets worth in excess of $50 million (as it stands right now). I've been trying to liquidate and put that shit into more stable forms like investing in hedge funds etc, but I've been doing it slow so I can get the best possible value.
It's not Warren Buffett money but it's enough -

Wow! Nice job!
You can do some serious stuff with that money. Do you have it invested at all? It doesn’t need to be in hedge funds. Index would do you just fine. Virtually all indexes were up over 20% in 2017. Sure, taxes would be a bitch, but that would’ve been over $10 million in income for you if you had it all invested. I know you said it isn’t all liquid, but still.
You should start a blog just to chronicle what you do with it all. -

A giant majority is invested in one way or another. My priority is mostly to expose myself to as little risk as reasonably possible while still putting it to work. I'm in a position where I could make $0 ever again and I'd still be great. Most of it is in hedge funds or mutual funds. -
