I wonder if anyone out there is so obsessed with cracking their knuckles that they keep a daily log of every crack, including the half-cracks and the creaks and even the PIPS. And they obsess over their records and have contests with themselves to do certain cracking combinations or maybe they try to reach numerical goals or even eventually do every mathematically possible sequence of the aforementioned crack types, always striving to add new sequences without duplicating, and they reset their patterns sometimes every hour, or day, and make sure they do new patterns by reviewing their knuckle cracking log.
So Pant Smith does a combo of left ring finger half-crack, right index full crack, right middle finger full crack, left pinky pip-crack, left thumb creak-crack. Then he sees that in his nightly review and checks it off his list of patterns.
Needless to say creaks and pips aren't actually cracks, but they still qualify because they are still SOMETHING.
