Why are you going to vegas? I was gonna go there. but i have to wait to see if I can consolidate shit first.. if they loan me extra I might go. It will be the first time ever going. except when i was a kid we drove through the old Vegas. it's a trippy town. so much hustling I'm told. hard core gambling addicts and Junkies selling shit to get money for their highs.

i heard vegas is fun as fuck, you dont even need to drink or gamble and you wont get bored. lots of shows, shopping, food.

I lived there for 5 years, it’s not all that bad. Most “hard core” gambling addicts just sit their ass in front of the slot machines for 16 hours a day and you barely even notice them. They’re nothing like the characters you see in movies such as The Gambler with Mark Wahlberg. Every city has junkies. The Bay Area where you live is far worse than Vegas in that regard (I lived there too for several years).

my road trip friend said he heard that people get bored of vegas after 3 days, and therefore isn't planning to spend much time there. is he fucking wrong? because i have a huge feeling he is. he wants to spend more time in LA than fucking vegas, for fucks sakes.
LA is Jacked up. lots of traffic. long flat urban areas of blite (so im told more than I saw) and long waits in traffic to get from one side of the Metro area to the other. It's sprawling miles. LA homes have larger lot size than San Francisco area. SF is dense as fuck, lots of traffic but unless you're driving from San Jose to say Berkeley or San Francisco.. you don't have to drive to far. it's an hour of traffic or maybe 90 minutes vs the 3-4 hours of sitting in your car day after fucking day driving 100 miles at times (people travel far to own a home)
NYC isn't that big landwise. it's 5 Burroughs didn't seem any larger than the Bay.. maybe 2/3rd land mass.. but the population proper of all 5 is like 8 fucking million or more. so everything is Jammed together but the Train systems are great.. easy to get around. LA is FUCKED UP WITH TRANSIT. you're gonna pay lots of money to an angry Lyft driver
Sorry I wrote it in that tone. LA stresses me out when I have to go down there (like take family to disneyland) not that it was stressful being with family at the time. especially in a private beach resort for 8 days.
yet getting around sucked a bit. and I been driving different rideshares for 4 years.. if it's someone else paying me.. i dont' give much shit.. but on your own time .. wasting hours of your vacation .. FUCKING COME ON MOFOs... DRIVE.. JUST DRIVE doesn't seem to matter to idiots behind the wheel.
I dunno, growing up my family ate at the table, I never once ate my food anywhere else, I guess I just got used to it. Plus we had a tv in the kitchen so we'd usually be watching the simpsons and seinfield anyways.
in my mid teens after dinner I'd go smoke and go back and eat ice cream and watch comedy central stoned by myself anyways so it was all good.
