Leaving a cat home alone for 3 days?

   im planning on going on vacation for 2-3 days and I was wondering if anyone has done this beofre and left their cat home alone?
   
   I get leaving extra food, but my cat will eat all the food in one or two sitting then throw it up then be hungry and id hate for him to die.
   
   any experience on this kind of thing?

    I've never had on piss on my keyboard, but my old cat bubba (RIP) spilled an entire beer on my keyboard, i was horrified, I never was able to get that keyboard working again..
    
    my new cat archie and I were take a nap around the time when I first got him and I was napping to coast to coast on my laptop and I rolled over on top of him and he punched me so i shoved off the bed because i was half asleep.
    
    a few minutes later I noticed coast to coast wasn't playing anymore.. and i was like what teh? and looked over at my lap top to see if it was plugged in.. my cat bit lappy adapter chord in half and was just chilling next to the scene of the crime!
