do you ever have the sense that you have a home when you dream?

i had funny dream last night which made me think about this. the dream was that i was at the gallaghers house from shameless(the original uk version) just hanging out with them. frank kept wandering in and out off his face as usual. but the weird thing was the house was on fire. but it was on fire for ages and we were still all in it. this felt like half the night it was on fire all around us getting slowly bigger and bigger. they were doing shit and packing things while this went on. at the end when the fire was so bad we had to get out they were just like 'well we're off now, see ya'. and they just left me there stranded and i had nowhere to fucking go. made me realize that there is never a time when i dream that i feel or know that i have a home. i've had loads of homes and had loads of dreams in those homes. but never in a dream do i think 'fuck this, i think i'll just go home and chill', or summing.

anyone else get this or just me?

dont you live in a half way house? maybe thats why. But I will tell you what I quit drinking almost 5 days ago and I've woken up from some dreams that I don't even know what was going on and I was sweating balls but freezing. Pretty uncomfortable.

You probably just need to dry off for a while slightly and sweat a lot at night, my side of the bed was drenched last night even though i had the window open and it was 45 degrees outside.

I don't remember my dreams much anymore.

However throughout my life I have, on several occasions, had vivid dreams of being in a house I know well (different houses at different points in my life) but discovering either doors that I never noticed, or hatches or passageways, sometimes out in the open and sometimes hidden behind furniture etc. And once going through these doors or passageways I find myself in a place that always seems very familiar, even though I don't believe I've actually been there. It's always the same place even when I enter it from different houses. It feels like a good place. There is nice comfortable furniture, there are floor to ceiling windows on one wall that is over-looking a forest (even when I enter this place from a basement or go down a flight of stairs) and there is a dim hallway across the room from where I enter it. I don't know what is down the hallway. I always wake up.

I rarely dream about being at home. I’m fact, probably never. The only dream with a building that I can recall is one where I entered this warehouse. Some fucked up things were happening inside that warehouse.

Come to think of it I don't think I've ever been in a familiar place during a dream. Lately I'm always in trouble and running from something..be it killers, policemen, angry friends etc...I should probably research this as it's probably some profound warning...but I haven't.
