I have been at many bible studys, and have always been amazed, like literally astonished, left in wonder, at the illogical moral lessons that the participants have drawn from the batshit insane and deeply creepy stories in the bible.
I could never read the bible alone at night, as it scared me, like a horror movie.
Judeo-Christianity is an insult to the entire idea of religion, and Islam is the retarded shit-covered offspring of that insult.
The good thing is that most religious people don't follow their text very much. Religion is so much more insidious when they do. -

I think if you read the new testiment in a more positive manner you might actually appreciate it if you took it literally. Genesis and the book of revelations are actually great reads. -
2017-11-27 at 7:12 AM UTCYou realize Genesis isn't in the new testament, right?
Also what did you like about revelations? -

I've actually read the bible back to front. It's a horrible book. I can tell that you haven't read it at all if you think it's good as a book. Whether or not it is a good moral barometer is a different issue. -
2017-11-27 at 8:37 AM UTCidk I hated to kill a mockingbird. Most books ive read are pretty ok but I haven't read many books in a while.
Any suggestions for really shitty books that are entertaining in an ironic way? I'm tired of stephen king and dean koontz repetetive nonsense I need something thatll really make me rage/be slightly amused -

I like revelation because it's the end of the world
Also there were people on the internet that were trying to convince people not to vote for trump because "trump/pence" sounds like "trumpets" -
2017-11-27 at 2:12 PM UTCI think religion can have a whole spectrum of effects on people
They range from cucked pedophile popes publicly kissing the feet of invaders to international heroes like Anders Breivik -
2017-11-27 at 2:57 PM UTCA clockwork Orange, it might be a good book but its written is some shitty brouge that I can't comprehend and it pisses me off. The same with a lot of Irvine Welch's stuff.
