Humanoid encounters

I've never seen something that shouldn't exist, but I do have a story.

This was around 15 years ago, or thereabouts. A couple of friends and I were staying in a house belonging to one of my friend's dad, while on a 3-day fishing trip to various lakes and coastlines in the area. In the evening we'd get drunk/stoned. At some point, I really needed to go take a piss, but someone was already using the bathroom, and I couldn't wait, so I went outside. On my way back, I passed by a van with a trailer in the driveway. The trailer was a tall boxy thing, probably a little taller than me. Everything was fine, and I was slightly buzzed, and pretty satisfied after a good long piss. As I passed by the space between the back end of the van, and the front end of the trailer, I instantly got the feeling that someone or something was standing in the space between the vehicles. Now, don't get me wrong, it was not just a sort-of-feeling, I was instantly convinced 100% that something very very dangerous was well within reach, I didn't even have time to turn my head, before I'd started throwing punches into the spot where this "boogeyman's" head would have been. Of course, I didn't connect with anything, there was nothing there, but the instant feeling of pure and utter dread was very real, I knew that something was there, in just the same way that you don't doubt whether or not you're reading this post. To this day I have no idea why I all of the sudden felt this way, but apparently, my fight or flight instinct thought it prudent to beat the living crap out of whatever wasn't there.

The only other strange thing I can think of, was when I was some 13-14 years old, and had been rollerskating all day on a ramp I'd built with a friend. At some point, my friend went home and I laid down on the ramp, and looked at the stars for some 20 minutes. I noticed one of them seemed to move. It wasn't a shooting star, it wasn't an airplane, and it wasn't a satellite because they tend to travel in straight lines, whereas this joker was sort of just wobbling around. I have no idea what it was, it looked like any other ordinary star, except for its odd behavior.

Which reminds me, I actually do have a couple of family members who's seen some really weird shit. Family member A has seen something "cigar-shaped and glowing, of unknown size" flying at a crazy speed over her house as a child. This must've been around the early 50's. Family members B and C has simultaneously seen something "about the size of a bus, glowing orange, hovering over a field, and then slowly flying away without making a sound". This must've been around '87. I've heard the stories several times over the years, and they haven't changed a bit. My family has no history of insanity and the people involved are not prone to making up stories.

The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire!
