Generally speaking, what do you think is the best age to die? And no, this isn't necessarily a suicide thread.
I say around 35. That's right when you're supposed to be in your prime career-wise, and just before you start noticing a decline in physical abilities and looks. So, ending it then would be going out on a high note.

I disagree. Dying at age 2 would suck because you hardly had a chance to live life and do things. Contrarily, dying at 95 means you'd be old, feeble, and probably shit yourself - better to go before then.

Depends on how health conscious you've been - if somebody is an out of shape, cigarette smoking, sugar eating monkey, anytime before 40.
Living past that would be discomforting on the individual, everybody around them, and the tax-payer who has to fork out for their bypass surgery

As somebody in their mid 20s, I'm holding out hope that by the time I hit 60 or 70, life-extending medicine/treatment would be publicly available and I can live for over a century

Would you want to though? Even if quality of life was physically excellent, I don't know that I would choose to live for over a century. Death is sort of a release.

Death is inevitable and infinite, life is a tiny blip - why not live for as long as possible at least out of sheer curiousity regarding the world and its transformations
I also want loads of children and grandchildren otherwise I have (objectively) failed biologically
Imagine being on your deathbed surrounded by all of your creations

well if its still in pristine condition after a hundred years then why scrap it ???? and if its declared a hull loss a day after it was bought out of showroom ....
