[serious] I think my computer is repeatedly being hacked

   So every now and then when I'm about to post something my browser will start acting strange, the page will scroll up and down slowly and I think to myself "is my hand on the trackpad fucking things up without me realizing" but then some other super strange shit happens like if I go to a conspiracy thread somewhere the browser will go back a page or load a totally different tab.
   Just now I was responding to a thread about the greater israel project and the page loads into this other page I had open in another tab about conspiracy stuff on reddit.
   Now I am on linux mint, which is a cheap piece of shit like all linux distros but I'm pretty sure the same stuff was happening while I was on jedidows.
   I have flashed my bios, formatted my hard drive several times and reinstalled OSes over and over and the shit keeps happening.
   Wtf gives.

   For the record I haven't been installing anything (except occasionally some software but from official repos) the only thing I can think of is somehow when I go to places like 4chan or voat I am being loaded with malicious software from the browser.
   The worst case scenario is that the jediberment is spying on me and doesn't want me posting about conspiracy stuff on open forums, which fuck them I have every right to and will continue to do so until israel is obliterated.

   Yeah or get a non-shit distro. Ubuntu in general is pretty great but Mint is pretty shitty. If you want a run of the mill distro without systemdick get Debian or Devuan since the latter comes with xfce out of the box so to speak and is basically Debian+.
   
   Also, if you were on windows i would say: Browser hijacker but since you're on Linux IDK. You can probably still hijack someone's browser on Linux though i just don't know how.

   What browser are you guys using? Are you sure you aren't accidentally triggering trackpad gestures with your spastic shit-posting?
   
   If they wanted to fuck with you they would do it via Intel's ME, and you couldn't do anything about it. I have never had any problems on Linux Mint, but I am on an older desktop. Linux on a laptop can be a little more interesting.

   i was using FF but this shitty laptop was too slow so lately been on chromium. its happened on both. and no, i'll load a page or summing and as its loading it just switches to a site i was on earlier or the day before or summing. or its done it with a page i had open in another tab at the time.

    As I said, disable your trackpad's driver software. This will kill things like gestures and whatnot. This is the most common reason behind "When I type, the screen does all sorts of weird things!", but it's usually from an older person...

    Right? You don't know how many geriatrics I get on a week to week basis with this exact complaint. Their thumbs fucking hit the trackpad and it does all sorts of weird shit. Disable gestures, it's fixed.
