My friend just got out of the pokie a few days ago and is staying at someones house in my hood
and he said that at the garza unit he was at he was put into a newer cell block that has fewer guards but new measures taken to "handle" the inmates. He said first of all no one there had a cell mate, individual cells. And the food came in a baggy through a "bank tube" kind of thing and it would usually be wadded up and smashed up when he opened it.
He also told me how in the cells they had this kind of ceiling fan thing (it didn't have blades) and every so often it would spin around and make a "beeping noise" and a red lazer light would be swinging around the cell in circles for 30 seconds at a time and he told me it was the scariest thing ever because they wouldn't tell him what it was. (he called them ditchwitch number 9's for some reason, he just told me thats what the other guys called them)
He then said for extraction methods of other inmates they had a track on the ground that lead to each cell and if an inmate would not coming out when asked to step out an 8 foot tall 4 foot wide as big as the door "rubber marsupial" would come through their door and just slam them into the wall until they were probably beaten then the guards would come and cuff em and take them out.
