If you think about it a TOTSE revival could be a very good thing, for the internet at large.
Think reddit, voat, all the conspiracy and illegal stuff floating around the net, the interesting parts of the dark web and youtube etc all condensed into one location.
Just like the original TOTSE there would be a section for written material on everything from how to seduce your 8yo sister to building explosives and taking down the NSA.
There would be sections that would promote creativity such as the ability the upload webm and flash files.
We could get the ball really rolling and eventually amass as many users as not only the original site(s) had but as many as the social web currently has.
We would be the stormfront of social misfits.
Social networking sites are going to eventually disappear once people realize they're just ways the jedis gain intel on you.
People will want ways to interact with others and a return to the BBS will be the way to go.
It'll be like time traveling back to 2000 - 2005.
NewTOTSE won't just be for illegal activities, there would be lots of educational material such as music production, game development, living off the grid and building your own house, there could be a database like libgen where people would upload any sort of pdf etc

Look at the trouble Don Black has had keeping StormFront online. Anglin's experience trying to acquire DNS service for DailyStormer, or that Pajeet's problems with keeping DNS service for gab.ai also come to mind.
Not to mention straight out LEO moves, for instance what happened against skadi.net and shadowcrew.com.
Totse only got away with what it did due to being below the radar. Zoklet was pretty much an non-entity. The internet is getting shut down bigly.

someone mentioned gab.ai a few posts back. They've been having troubles but I find it hard to care since the entire notion of that site is built on sand.
