i realized any time i do anything all i think about is "wow this sucks so much, i hate this, this is boring" etc. has anyone tried just forcing themselves to be optimistic about things all of the time to improve their sense of wellbeing. did it work for you? i figure any change is going to have to come from within and this will require editing my outlooks on life to see everything on the bright side. my only desire in life is to feel complete happiness 24/7 indefinitely. some people are lucky enough to naturally be almost like this, but i want to force myself to be this way
Brainwashing yourself is pretty easy, and there's lots of helpful material out there too. I did it. I'm not happier, but I really enjoy giving blowjobs now so that's a positive change surely.

I did this for a while and then I ended up going hitchhiking.
Now my frame of reference of 'this sucks' is so much wider, and I know that doing my homework will NEVER suck as much as fearing for my safety. So it doesn't bother me as much.

Extreme narcissism works for me. I'm not normally a narcissist, but if I really concentrate on myself, my own body, doing whatever I feel like, taking pleasure in going to the gym and becoming fit, ignoring everyone else, I do feel happy.
Sorry pal it doesn't work that way. True happiness comes from being comfortable with your life and feeling a sense of worth and being able to live in the moment. Even if you could brainwash yourself to be happy, it would be artificial and you would still feel empty with rose colored glasses of happiness.
Candyflip daily if you want to be happy all the time or go to a sweatlodge ibogafest
