It's very useful for opiate detox
Also great for a natural and legal painkiller and stimulant/relaxant depending on strain
People don't really take it to "have fun"

It's probably the worst "recreational" drug I've tried, horrible side effects with minor benefit and it's nasty as fuck to ingest at all.

Usually it felt like a good Vicodin high plus some coffee, for me. I would even get that nice warm euphoric feeling in my gut and chest that I get on some opioids. The high is very slight, though. Usually I'd have to really focus on it or else I could just widen my eyes and feel mostly sober. Toss and washing all that plant matter was quite a price to pay for such a mild effect.
