I have pretty severe anxiety and ocd and It's made me use drugs and alcohol, im now thirty and want to change my life by getting a service animal. Anyone here have any experience with getting a service animal?
My gf has an animal but she's not allowed to take it to work but she spends most of her time with her animal because she has anxiety as well. We talked about this and she said she thinks that I need a service animal and then I could travel for a cheaper rate to dc to visit her parents which im deafly afraid of.

I have a cat, named archie that I've had for over a year and I care about him but I don't think he can be trained, and he definitely will not walk on a leash in public.
I'm thinking about moving to california in about a year with my gf so I can get legal weed and its cheaper to own a service animal there. I've been trying to better myself recently.
