Check out my relevant thread in T&T. I'm kinda' polling what we have and what we want content wise in the thread i linked to.

The power in infosec and IT in general is our ability to open source knowledge in a productive manner, it's good shit. Please check out my thread if you're interested.

I have an interest and at one time was semi proficient. But I have not worked in a network lan/Wan admin role for over 6 years and have become obsolete. That and my home network has gone from 4 servers and 12 clients with a 32 port programable 3Com 2u rack mount switch to a Verizon FIOS router and an LG G2. But I still have some interestand enjoy reading what others are doing from time to time.

Oh sysadmin eh? Nice, i never knew. It would be cool if we can put some threads together on similar subjects if other people show an interest or can contribute in general, i personally don't have a background in IT but i consider anti-security as somewhat of a hobby. Learning about cool stuff is something i enjoy anyway and in this particular field the learning never quite stops.

Which is exactly what drew me to computers in general around 82 when I saw a Apple I I for the first time. When a friend showed me how to generate random numbers in BASIC with a for next loop and an rnd statement. Sadly it is the other edge of that sword I find I'm being cut with now having been out of the business for a bit over 6 years.

I would but I get instant shame because people 4 years younger than me are better at programming/hacking due to public school one of the best cyber security/computer science academies in the state/country and I got kicked out for never going to school

with all these computer folks around here, you would think that we would form an alliance and start a darknet marketplace. maybe one selling stolen goods and car parts as re: my suggestion

Never too late to learn though, i only really got into IT when i was older. There are loads of people better than me, that's just the way it is.

Yeah, no sit back, shut up, and learn from those who know both of us or take your middle aged teenaged Midwest mindset back to bad ideas where you and the rest of the would be criminal master minds master bate each other's bait.

I see you are using your elite knowledge to.....post on a forum with 30 users, with sock puppet accounts and stale, outdated sayings, all hours of the day and night.

I guess that's no big surprise, seeing as how you are old enough to qualify for social security payments

Eh truth be told it's not the worst idea. If you hold the bitcoin in escrow and run off with them before your market becomes too notorious you could stand to make a pretty profit. The trick would be securing your hidden service while you gather a small following and consequently the bitcoins.

Or, and I know this is a radical idea, almost too insane to contemplate....you could run the service and actually not rip people off, and make steady profit

a successful hidden service rip off could make you like 100 grand, but I would rather have the steady income stream

I guess I see why people 'exit scam', because the longer a place stays open, the longer the risk of 'getting caught'

but afaik, the marketplaces hardly ever get taken down by LE these days
