If by mb you mean motherboard and you have the other components that go into making a computer and assuming they're all working yes. Put a light weight distro on it, something like Devuan will do you nicely but that's hardly as light weight as it can get. -

The new hardware all has built in software that sends back your PI to the government. You need hardware that was from before 1997 to be absolutely certain they cannot see what you are doing. -

all pre-97 hardwares had been secretly re-updated and re-flashed back in 2001.
now they can see EVERYTHING your doing. -
2017-10-06 at 3:41 PM UTCI'd tryand help but I know shit about hardware. I built my PC but hardware issues are a nightmare for me.
Hope fix it. Keep us updated.
