Yeah, I've posted this same thread atleast once before
but wtf I thought I would only be depressed acutely with random "oh yeah I've never been to a highschool party/never will be, go to a retard school and life is ruined" edgy spells of depression just thinking about it but you know, it sucks. There could be some meeting with the school board in like a month to see if I could skip ahead a grade but I fucked that up because schools been in session for like 17 days and I've only gone like, 5 days and spent the rest sleeping depressed as hell, like the other 2 years they held me back.
Why am I caring about this? I know I can drop out and take the GED in like 5 months but still its making me extremely fucking depressed, like terrible knot in stomach depression.

Make some fucking music. The more you dwell on what's shitty, the more it will consume you, TRUST ME. You have to force yourself to do what you're passionate about. If you can't do that, you need to maybe go to an inpatient treatment program. There's really no other way, if the meds you're getting aren't helping you feel energized and motivated, it's nearly impossible to JUST DO IT. You can try, and like I said, try to do the things that you are interested in. If that doesn't work it's just going to continue to be day in day out of depression, wallowing in your own misery. Something has to CHANGE, brother. Something has to CHANGE.

One does not simply stop giving a shit and if one does one's life will not be better for it. The solution is to stop your self destructive behavior and do what needs to be done so you don't get into situations that depress you.

Look, roshambo, you can just do the GED thing like you said, but after that, if you get serious about wanting to have any sort of life, you either need to go out and get an education, even a technical school, like work on HVAC those guys make good money, or else start working at just anyplace that will take you and bust ass and try to impress management, and maybe in a few years you might get a dollar raise.
tl/dr diploma/GED it really doesn't matter, but make sure you get it done.

I guess when I say HVAC technicians make good money, I am being relative. It is good enough to live on, but not what most would consider 'good' money. Unfortunately, with your poor performance in school, and not coming from a family of influence, you are going to be stuck in a particular socioeconomic caste with very little chance of rising above it. The safest thing you could do is go to like Ivy tech or ITT or whatever and start taking classes, see what you want to do, and follow through with it, and you can potentially make a nice little life for yourself. The alternative is working two minimum wage jobs just to keep afloat, and never having a damn thing in life and spending your life working. There are alternatives, like entrepreneurship and others, but they entail some risk, and require a certain type of person with a certain type of infrastructure. I myself barely graduated high school and never got an education, and with sheer luck and hardwork, the highest I got in the working world was an 18$ an hour union job. That's not too bad, but it's not great, either.
Now, if you came from a prominent or wealthy family, you might have certain opportunities and connections not available to the rest of us, such as tutoring, private schools and plum job openings given as favors to relatives, but that is not really even applicable in most cases and not really worth mentioning.
