2017-09-27 at 5:39 PM UTCHow is it there? I was going to just ask Bill Krozby but we might as well open it up to everyone. Anyone ever been to Austin? I hear it's pretty liberal? Is weed legal there? What kind of people generally live there? How hot/cold does it get? Do poppies and weed grow there?

Austin is rad, its the best city in texas in my opinion. Weed isn't legal but you can have under an ounce and get a municipal court ticket but cops usually don't go along with that. It's pretty liberal where I live because I live near the university.
Most of the people that have moved here in the last 10 years that have moved here are from either la or dc (the last 3 girls I dated were from dc), its actually a rare thing to be born here and still live here.
my favorite things to do here are to go see shows downtown and I go to barton springs / hamiltons pool.
Over the last ten year though my rent has doubled which sucks but i don't really have a reason to move somewhere else at the moment, plus I can't.
People grow weed here, but I don't know about the poppies, I go to whole foods to get poppy seeds that or central market.
the butthole surfers are from here.
It's more humid than anything here, but it does freeze over in the winter but rains at the same time which sucks if you don't have a car lol
komo lives here and he's cool and weed smoker used to live here but he's kind of a lamer.

That hamilton pool looks dope as fuck. In the next couple years I'm planning on slowly visiting 4 or 5 US cities to help me determine where I want to live when I graduate university. -

yeah you should come here and hang with komo and I. hamiltons pool is badass, unfortunately you have to make reservations now to go there, but usually I just go to barton springs, I've been going there since I was a baby.
they have a pull side and that you pay to get in but they also have another side where it goes out into lake travis, so you can rent a kayak and go out
