So I know this forum is slow and everything, but I've noticed that everything pretty much gets posted on Spurious.
Long story short, I'm wondering if we should just consolidate the whole forum into two subs - spurious and news / business / suggestions
I mean it works for /b/. I know we're not /b/ but it would probably generate more traffic to the site and make it look more active IMO.
I'm not sure if this would be a colossal pain in the ass to do or what.

Since zoklet there's been endless handwringing over merging forums. I was all for the big merge once upon a time but ultimately it costs nothing to have a subforum no one posts in and rolling them together tends to generate drama "ala MY THING is not the same thing as OTHER THING and should have its own forum".

I'm not sure how I feel about it. Honestly? It's probably smart. We need to revert to a seed and then blossom into subforums based on the popularity of certain subjects. At the very least, we could condense the site into like... 5 or 6 boards. Essentially "stuff people come here for" + humanities (low thread count, but one of the most frequented boards on the site) & the tech board (undeniably the most popular niche board).
Maybe. It'd be weird but maybe for the best. The niggas here now are not going to leave over a merge. It's probably better that it doesn't happen, but there's no way of knowing really...
