what .... like how to convert ???
i use this :
http://www.pazera-software.com/products/free-audio-video-pack/
but before anything you need to determine whats the root cause of your problem.
look at your file for file type and resolution. if you torrented they're mostly on the file name itself like h264/265, mkv, 720 or 1080.
mostly your problem can be avoided by downloading lower res movies designated 720 something something.
so just try download the 720 version to see if it plays smoothly or not, your using laptop, you dont need 1080 bd quality.
even 480 will look quite nice. -

i'm seeing very little other than bluray in torrent sites these days. the ones you do see nearly always have no one seeding.

piratebay is usually my go-to and almost all reputable uploaders offer choices usually between 1080p or a downgraded version of 720p and some even cater to smartphone res of 480 or 320p. these usually come in about 280-350mB (for drama length series)
look for it. -
2017-09-05 at 12:20 AM UTCi just got a lot of the star wars movies from pb, most only had less than 1080 with no seeds.

The internal chronology of a story and the sequence it's presented in are two different things though. Watching starwars in title order is like skipping the first scene in pulp fiction because it's actually the second to last in the internal ordering. -

but star wars isn't pulp fiction tho. it was meant to be shown in chronological order. so what is the reason for watching it out of cron? how does it benefit the user experience exactly?
this is what i'm wondering.

Then why was it not filmed and released in that order? Were the people who watched episode 4 in theaters supposed to wait like 20 years for episode 1 through 3 to release before watching it? -

2017-09-06 at 10:38 AM UTCand it was a bit dumb, but lucas didn't even dream up the prequels till after the original movie. i'm guessing after the first three it became apparent that the trilogy could benefit from explaining how the story and characters got to where they were. plus obviously the fact that doing so would make him a shit ton of cash in the process.
i'm sure i heard somewhere that they are planning doing something similar with the matrix trilogy.

2017-09-06 at 10:48 AM UTCjust made me think. if they did make phantom menace first, that could well have not got the go ahead from the studio to make any more. there could have been no trilogy and star wars would have just been 1 scifi movie lost in the 70s. could you imagine a world without star wars?
