Something to do with double agents and black hats and blue boxes, I'm sure. -

Then they all freaked out and I told them to fuck off and stop playing lame, dumb little games. No one had ever trashed the mod ball, up to that point. -

Oh, I see. this was sarcasm
Well, the original totse ran out of WC.
So before there was internet.. maybe 80-90 percent were from central CoCo County. others were from other states who used their local dialup and dialed into the Nirvana network associated to transfer their response to a message board on totse. not synced in real time so a message would be delayed and often threw people off topic because a local person may of commented and changed out the message a bit. people posted differently by adjusting to this awkward curve during dialup of p2p2p system exhcange. this was a way of defeating toll call charges prior to phone companies becoming cheaper and "Nation Wide". -
2017-08-24 at 8:26 PM UTCNirvanaNet, and &Totse, were ASCII-based, text-file-only terminals, running through TelNet. There was no realtime communication at all.

2017-08-24 at 8:29 PM UTCI'm amish but I believe to use technology past 1990 is a sin.

Most people had 33.6 US robotics modems. You could even "shotgun" two of them in your box and increase bandwidth, if you knew what you were doing. Most people used a program called, HyperTerminal, to reach The Net. -
