Runescape looks a lot different from how I remember it. They still have the same old shitty aliased map code though.

No, I'm not going back to that dark place, not ever. I remember when I was on a boyscout campout when I was like 10 and the nerdy kid with glasses was like "hey let me tell you about runescape" and everyone just groaned (apparently he talked about it a lot) and the following day I logged on. I remember mining rune essence for the first time, the dopamine rush of buying a rune scimmy, the endless hours grinding that stupid pure fisher. Also I was listening to AC/DC like non-stop while playing so there's some weird association there.
Just thinking about runescape too much makes me a weird kind of nauseous while at the same time a sense of longing to really just let myself go and sink back into the murky depths mmorpg grind life
