Well, that depends if favorite is measured by quantity of songs by an artist that I enjoy vs how much I enjoy few particular songs, if only a few, by a single artist. Best to go with your gut when picking favorites of something, what instinctually comes to mind is often what you like the most. I had an album with a few songs by The Casualties in junior high and remember thinking this is real punk and was very fond of them as a group. Rancid ...and out come the wolves, this cd Was played on repeat when I was in seventh grade, every track was at least decent and majority I thought were very good and would singalong if I heard any of them today. I don't really love stench to music much anymore, rarely ever unless in tc and drunk, even lately I find myself muting the channel and preferring conversation with others in tc mainly §m£ÂgØL and Panny, or funny videos.
Pop punk genre hands down was blink 182, I had ALL the tracks, back from Cheshire Car, when they had a different drummer, Scott I believe was his name. Buddha was before Cheshire Car, I think.... still "Carousel" is a great and pretty song, acoustics and overall recording sounds like shit but that intro doe... Inwanna say it's a basss....I wanna say bass over guitar and I'm on an iPad rather than a laptop and the effort it would take for looking up the video for a listen isn't really worth the end result of being certain of an instrument for a post that will probably be fully read by three people. "Carousel" has such a pleasing melody. I was obsessed with Tom Delong and even bought the Box Car Racer cd (and a shirt from Hot Topic) in 8th grade. The Trasplants who had a mix of Rancid and Blink, two of my favorites, didn't impress me much, not a fan. Mehhh not for me, good separate but just didn't work well together IMO.
All killer no filler, by Sum 41, pop punk band, only really like very few of their songs but the extent I loved those songs surpasses other bands from my awkward years. Just simply ok album overall but the two greats that stand out of course are Fat Lip and In Too Deep, both have some of the most memorable guitar riffs , I guess they're riffs, forgive me if my lingo is not fluent.
Uck but then he like got all Hollywood couple status with the lamest of the lame, , the blandest of the bland and slightly above average enough to not be completely forgotten from the cringe worthy early 2000's...unseasoned boiled chicken and glass of tap water for dinner unenthusiastic drum roll.......
Avril Lavigne
She is in someways the best quintessencal example of an antynom for punk.
I swear Canada ... first her, now Justin Bieber, that's strike two!
"He was a skater boi she said seeya later boi". God, with that gift of gab it's a wonder why she isn't writing screen plays with Matt Damon. How untalented AND unhot people become famous is a mystery to me. if she was at least an 8 I could be more understanding and dismissive but seriously.....her?
