"Literary" Fantasy Suggestions

I just found my copy of The Wizard of Earthsea in a box and flipped through it, remembered how much I enjoyed reading it, it got me in the mood for some well written fantasy. Something in the spirit of that, or Tolkien. Really just looking to avoid Canavan style "fireballs, woo!" writing. I really liked Le Guin's kinda vague, selectively descriptive style, almost abstract story telling so something along those lines would be cool but I'll also take more low fantasy "concrete" writing as well.

    Any suggestions?

It is kind of a weird suggestion because it is definitely written for young teens etc but the Deltora Quest books were very interesting, and their faster pace/smaller scope/length was pretty refreshing because they didn't drag on forever, it was excitement to excitement.

I thoroughly enjoyed The Riftwar Universe. Starting with The Riftwar Saga, I've read them all through The Empire Saga, Legends of the Riftwar, The Riftwar Legacy, Krondor's Sons and The Serpent War Saga. Now each of these describes an era and each era has a minimum of three books. So Jesus Christ that's a lot of reading, but well worth it. Along the lines of Tolkien, i think you would enjoy it a lot. I just started with the first series "The Riftwar Saga" and went from there.

So buy Magician, Silverthorn, and A Darkness at Sethanon by Raymond E. Feist and you should be good for a little while.
