Is bitcoin that dependent on the black market to maintain its price? Is it correlation or causation?

it had an impact, but the downward pressure on its value preceded the whole betabay shutdown. speaking of which, they found the betabay's owner dead in a thai prison

yeah, it's impacted the price but it won't crush bitcoin, nor will it be permanent or even a long-term trend

Why the fuck would the creator of a DNM be in Thailand? That would be the dumbest place to possibly be.

the downward pressure was caused by many factors: uncertainty created by the upcoming btc hardfork, all the scammy big ICOs\crowdfundings like tezos cashing out, and all the speculation-driven growth of the last months that eventually resulted in the investors' loss of confidence\large-scale FUD and consequential panic-selling. anyway the last (((goldman sachs))) prediction on this month btc market seems to be quite accurate for now, they first suggested that it would have fallen around 1850 (checked) and then skyrocketed up to 3200 after the hardfork.

i dunno, but now we know for sure it wasn't an exitscam. today jeff sessions announced that the FBI took down betabay and partnered with the dutch police to turn the hansa market into an honeypot and deanonymize as many purchasers and vendors as possible
