Melee is different than other fighting games because most have life bars, thru have % meters starting 0 to 999. The more % you have, the farther you fall because the only way to get kos is if someone falls off the stage.
it was a form of cheating and you got permabanned for it.
Camping is pretty much not no engaging in the match, especially when you have thr lead as it also has an 8 minute time limit. Jigglypuff, the player that she hates has 5 jumps, instead of the mostly usual 2, so she can float around the arena or just jump back on and off stage
As far as traditional Camping, Melee was 4 stock, or lives each game. Once someone has been taken offstage, they respawn at the top of the stage with I think like 5 seconds of invulnerablility -
2025-02-18 at 5:21 AM UTCWell Not Engaging is kind of the same thing. There was a glitch in the WWII video game BF1942 (in one of the popular Mods maps) where you could hide in the wall and not engage in the sense of playing fair. just hiding and picking faggots off from the other team which made you the ultimate cock sucking nigger faggot (not in the racist term of course )The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire!

2025-02-18 at 5:26 AM UTCThere was a map in Day of Defeat v2.1 that had an invisible one way wall on a roof ridge at a choke point. If you played the axis team you could climb up there and shoot Allied players in plain sight and no matter what they threw at you it bounced off the invisible one way wall.

Was a rough tournament for our boys. Jake lost a DK, a good one bur still and amsa drew peach (llod, who he's beat but it's still an awful match up) ans then plus, who he haven't beat since 2017
Another super major is coming in March and both our guys will bw there. Best of luck to both -
2025-02-22 at 3:16 AM UTCHonestly I'm not mad about the DK renaissance even though I don't particularly love any DK player. In general I think it's super cool that the melee meta still shifts 20 years after release. I'm a little embarrassed to say I was low key rooting for hungrybox back in like 2012 because like, puff existed, but no one was thinking about the character like they do today, and it was this cool underdog quirky character story. Also "puff's win condition is to revolving door bair a billion times and plank for 6 minutes" wasn't really the meta, comboing off fair was a thing but you actually had counterplay, in that era rest was more central and like you can say rest setups are lame and I like I'll agree (I think stomp knee is kinda lame too tbh) you can't deny that rest-in-place to catch roll-through mindgame you saw a lot back then was pretty baller. Anyway, all that to say, I think it's cool DK is a thing now. I may change my mind on that if my region gets a decent DK main on netplay lol (I've heard people say DK is a losing matchup for marth, but IDK, it feels p good to me), but yeah, fox-only 20XX is gay so anything that makes the tourney viable cast bigger is a positive IMO
