Apparently I'm not a socialist. After vetting questions by a socialist group I'm not one of them but was still accepted. There was a question about what thinkers have influenced me and I could only put down fiction authors. Thinkers haven't influenced me, they have only resonated with what I already thought.
------------------------------------------------------------ Section 1 - For Everyone
1.1 What is your ideology/philosophy? (If you answer ML you'll still need to pass the server ML test to get the ML role)
I believe in tolerance, human rights and equality but also that I shouldn't let my ideals be used against me. I may have to bend them to avoid my destruction. I would say I'm centre. I'm inspired by the Vulcans in Star Trek. I believe chimpanzees are among us and to avoid earth becoming a hellscape their number needs to be reduced. 1.2 Which thinkers have influenced you the most? Hans Christian Anderson, Chuck Palahniuk. 1.3 Which languages do you speak? (optional) English, Dutch. 1.4 In what region do you live in? (optional) 1.5 How did you find this server? I wanted to see if there were any Bolshevik servers. 1.6 Do you want any server event roles such as Discussion, Reading Club, Daily Quote, Daily History, Question-of-the-Day Voice Chatter, or Movie Nighter? All with the exception of question of the day and voice chatter. 1.7 What is your stance on the LGBTQ+ movement? I don't think they should be aligned, it only alienates people who are supportive of one thing and not another, reducing support. I'm wary of gay men because they can be misogynistic. I think patriarchy and gender stereotypes have contributed to people feeling gender confused. 1.8 What is your opinion on the struggles of ethnic minorities in any given country? I don't know what they are. I live in a white pocket. 1.9 What is your purpose for joining? I don't want to talk with vegetables.
------------------------------------------------------------ Section 3 - For Socialists
3.1 How do you define socialism? Sharing which is necessary to end suffering but conflicts with personal freedom. 3.2What is your opinion on the following countries: a) the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics b) the People's Republic of China c) the Democratic People's Republic of Korea d) the United States of America e) the Russian Federation f) the State of Israel
I wouldn't want to live in any of them. If I made a bullet point list of reasons why it would exceed the character limit. 3.3 What is your opinion of the following people: a) Leon Trotsky I resonate with him the most. He's a real man and I like his quotes. I would have shot retreating soldiers too. b) Josip Broz Tito Don't know them. c) Deng Xiaoping Don't know them. d) Pol Pot Don't know them. e) Xi Jinping I read the governance of China a decade ago and found him admirable, a good role model. I don't know how his character is now though as I don't tune in to China. f) Khrushchev He's in my good book.

There are no communists, actually there are and I'm friends with a lot of them and they are cool. All you gotta do to turn the Canadian flag red is fill in the white with red lmao!!!!
Anarcho communists though, like Trotskyists. Those guys believe in nuclear weapons and smoking weed and want to burn down stores and smash capitalism. I will gladly sell them fuel to petrol bomb my fuel station and salute them as I call for a paid fire department service that sends me a bill for the fire they put out and then shed a tear of joy in freedom

The only thing close to real communism would be Pol Pot's glorious revolution but murdering babies by slamming them against trees doesn't seem like respecting the intrinsic wisdom of nature to me. Also it doesn't hold up to our standard of erring on the side of doing nothing
Pol Pot was never arrested or killed though and lived out his life in the jungle and died of natural causes from old age.

do you not remember what happened after world war 2?

The Germans could never have conquered the entire planet. It's a little thing called resources and logistics. The U.S. could have beaten Germany single handed just by sheer economic and human recources.

When has a white country ever been invaded by a more wealthy white country and complained? Pretty sure the Austro-Hungarian empire did well for themselves

the US never had enough MEN and without the russians attriting german munitions and ordnances in the west and chinamen attriting the japs in the east, the US would get spit roasted by both.

Canada would be better off as several US states than as a British commonwealth.
