Is this just like the JHW analogues back in the day or safer? -
2025-02-14 at 9:40 AM UTCI've done what was more than likely RC's back in the day. 2cb for acid or the MdmA one. I from what I know, the high was similar and the ratio of good trip to bad was very high

HHC is found naturally occurring, although in trace amounts, in sativa plants. It is a phytocannabinoid. HHC that you buy these days is synthesized from CBD, so there may be leftover solvents from the synth process that could pose a health risk.
JWH on the other hand is a fully synthetic CB1/CB2 cannabinoid receptor agonist and is not found naturally occurring whatsoever in cannabis plants. It just happens to act on the same receptors as phytocannabinoids (naturally occurring) do, but also came with risk of seizure and all of the other problems we now know JWH had.
That said, HHC has been around since the 1940's, but there hasn't been wide-spread studies performed on it's safety unlike traditional "delta-9" THC. I would say HHC is about as safe as Delta-8 and both of which, in my mind, are "safer" than JWH, but could pose their own risks that are either not yet understood due to them being so "new" in widespread public use as of late or from the conversion of CBD to either HHC or Delta-8. Just make sure you're buying from a reputable vendor that performs up-to-date third party laboratory testing on not only pesticide and fungus, but also a solvent test and heavy metal test to make sure it's not contaminated with a bunch of shit you don't want.
Or just buy gas station mystery and experiment for science! The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire! -
