I don't understand. For the first time in months I'm sleeping through the night.

Trump will destroy and set back progress, but progress is inevitable. We will recover and overcome

I don't understand you. I always sleep through the night. Why would the cycles of civilization disrupte your sleep cycle? What are you going to be overcoming and recovering from?

systems of governance eventually become so complicated that not even the people who run them can properly understand or maintain them

This does seem to be the trend, but it is inherent? Are there bureaucracy resistant forms of human organization? I kind of struggle to think of any but it seems absurd that there’s no way to have a group of people cooperate that doesn’t always progress inevitably toward death by administrators.

I guess there are long lived stable tribal societies in Africa and South America and shit. Further proof that primitivism is the answer to all problems

It's because populations became too big. It's a lot easier to govern and organize a village than a country of millions.

I feel like successful societies invariably end up breeding successive weaker and more wasteful descendents so ultimately recognize the jedis as equals and become pedophiles.

A great example is Paul Wozny, a man who loves only one thing more than the jedis and that's sex with little boys.

It feels bad to be part of the cycle where you are the weak man. Your great grandfather probably hauled steel or welded or toiled on the railroads for 16 hours a day and you're just sitting there drinking listerine and shoving your face with fast food.
