I was pretty nearsighted:
-3.50
-3.75
Years ago, I got computer glasses that were +1.50, single focus. So:
-2.00
-2.25
My regular bifocals got so scratched up, I started wearing my computer glasses full time. Over the weeks, I kept seeing better and better and after a year, I can see perfectly. License plates and street signs are no problem. I sometimes forget I'm not wearing glasses. Trying my old glasses on makes me laugh.
I can now use the computer (27" monitor) without glasses if I get a bit close. I've always been able to read and see my phone without glasses but had to lift things a bit out of my lap. Now I don't, nice.
And the lenses are half as thick.
I also realized bifocals are kinda dumb. Now, the whole room is in focus. And single focus lenses are dirt cheap.
So it turns out my eyeballs were pretty adjustable. And I'm past retirement age. I highly recommend optometrists always give people one step down, 0.25, until their eyes stabilize.

I think the second one is just to make things more vivid, not correct vision issues.

I would never consider lasik because my eyes are too sensitive. It wouldn't make any diff anyway, now. Instead of wearing glasses to drive, I'd have to wear them to read.
Lucky I have zero cataracts despite being fucking old. Always wore sunglasses.
Here's how good my eyesight is. I had to call to switch my phone sim and could perfectly read those tiny numbers.

BTW, myopia is not a defect, it's a trait. It allows people to read and do hand work into middle age. It's linked with high IQ.
If you eliminated the trait, society might be in big trouble if reading glasses were ever not available.
