    This site exists because this community was, at the time of NIS's inception, still deemed a security threat that warranted further observation. The call was made that letting the most dangerous totse/zoklet users scatter into the four winds was inadvisable, and Lanny was contracted to create a locus around which they might gather.

    It costs ~nothing to run, so NIS will probably never be decommissioned, but it's more-or-less run its course at this point. Security threats were gradually picked off one by one, some went dark, and now all that remains is... let's call it the "better domesticated" portion of the community-that-was.
    The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire!
