   I'm using XP as well. It's an excellently smooth and problem-free OS. It can stay up for weeks without issue.

   Don't need support. I run my own security locally. In addition to several other protection layers, I run a manually configured firewall, where all connections are monitored on all ports. Nothing gets in or out unless I approve the connection.
