Even though he was one of the best reasons to watch Better Call Saul...
But I thought it was pretty realistic (mostly) up until Gus. His character wasn't like a scary psychopath, it just came across as weird. The lab and all this stuff was far fetched, then there were his henchmen.
Mike is supposed to be this 90 year old action hero super hitman. When I first saw him in previews slapping Jessie he looked like an interesting character, but his backstory is he's a cop 😔 big disappointment, and the Steven Segal scenes made it worse.
The rest of them seemed gay. Titus, and that Mexican one Gus killed with the boxcutter. Both seemed like fagits to me. Some people were thinking Gus and Gale were lovers too so idk if there was something to that. And that guy that got killed by the pool was supposed to be Gus' lover I think. But they had this theme of being generic henchmen with no personality in black leather jackets that Breaking Bad stuck with after.
Unfortunately Mike didn't get killed until later, but I thought that scene with Jessie coming in with Mike in the trunk was funny, and it did make a comeback I think but the first two seasons I think were the best.
How was it far fetched? The show was very realistic in terms of chemistry. Having a p2p lab in New Mexico and selling product domestically and working with the cartel would easily support such an operation.
That part made perfect sense.
How can you say that's unrealistic when they did shit like this later?
A fucking pest fumigation??? Nanny Cameras? how do you explain that METH COOKS literally coat the walls in DETECTABLE AMINES in the paint and would contaminate every single house they ever cooked in and leave the most obvious trail ever
In fact they even used meth contaminated homes as a plot point in a previous season and Saul used it to drastically reduce the price of a house purchase because "You can't sneak a meth lab past a house inspection" which is true.
You would have to totally repaint the place and if anyone ever found out that you MADE DRUGS in their house and destroyed the resale value of your home not only would the police be investigating you but you would probably get sued
