they have come quite a ways from the black and white pilot episode of 1999
The first thing I saw by them was a black and white like this. But it was the first time the camera and mic guy started following them. It explained how that all started. Julian called a phone psychic who told him he only had five day to live. So Julian signed a contract to have them document the rest of his life.
I've been looking for that video for over a decade off and on and still haven't found it.

I found it. I wasn't even looking for it. I opened the YouTube app and there it was top center.
it goes to prove without any ounces of doubt that youtube algorhymes, with the aid and abetment of the internet, is listening to everyone of your imputs and outputs to you accordingly.
I've watched the entire hour long black and white version. I think its better than all of season 1 TPB mostly because it's even darker humor, Julian and Ricky both use cocaine and kill cats and dogs to pay for their addiction.
I don't think anything on the real show has ever gotten close to that level but it's so absurd that I think it's funny as hell. ABout what you expect from an Indie project being converted to a cable show

not a fan. you guys can crucify me now
That's okay, I don't expect everyone to understand Canadian humor. It's pretty niche and I have no idea why any Americans like it at all. Maybe the guns
The following users say it would be alright if the author of this
post didn't die in a fire!
