   chill at home, watch firework show we can hear out the window from across the bay while they shoot them off live on local TV. Often we can see them if its not foggy though they're 10 miles away
   
   one neat thing about the bay area is it has this echo effect off the bay waters. You can hear people cheering from the old Candlestick park across the bay as we sat on the beach in my hometown. and fireworks carried really loud. if you yell real loud in some spots on certain calm nights, it will delay and bounce your voice back. but it only happens under certain atmospheric conditions usually around late fall or early winter (this time of year)
