   You're implying a desert dog can live in the ocean longer than a Camel? well.. regardless of all of that water, the ocean is too salty to drink. too toxic. but a camel can last a long time without drinking water. a dog can not. if both floated and didn't succumb to hypothermia, I would think the camel would live longer, bobbing around (probably would float do to its humps acting as life preservers)
