My feet hurt. I walked like 7 miles today up and down hills and flatland

it's sad to me that we have so much technology and can do so many cool things but the real value and science is in shit like this. Really makes me just want to live in the forest, but who could afford that unless they became a white collar programmier like rabbi t weed

when I was around 19, I worked at Walgreens (Union store wages though) and I would push volume way more than this lady co-worker around my age. I would then see her performance sheet at the end of the week and the amount taken in.

Short of it, She worked smarter as I worked harder and faster. she was eyeballing cosmetic and expensive shit to pull people in and then would let me take all of the low-mid range items. didn't dawn on me until the manager pointed out her trick and laughed. but then they pushed me behind the Rx counter to assist there. because I was pretty bitter about it.

Bullshit, Walgreens never had union stores in the bay area until this year. In April 2024, 14 pharmacists at 10 Walgreens stores in the Bay Area joined UFCW Local 5, the largest private-sector union in Northern California. This was the first time Walgreens workers in the Bay Area had unionized in 40 years.

Fuck you. It did too. Commercial Food UFCW5 Hayward.
You don't know shit about California. they voted out the Union while i was working there and I split not long after this. they hired a bunch of new workers to get the vote promising above Minimum wage and saying that unions were more stagnated in pay increases

    You don't know SHIT!

Also as you put it, this was once CFLU 870 up until 1989. not the repeated UFCW5 as I stated. they changed their affiliate and number

Look up the history, Faggot. Union Hall was located on Mission

No I did at first but it was 870 back then. it just rebranded. it doesn't matter. I started at A'lpha Beta store and joined the Union (Courtesy clerk) and then went to Walgreens and worked there part time at first while working at AB. still a clerk status Union pay of like 7 which was nearly twice minimum wage which was 3.75-4.24 in that period of 86-89 (Look that up.. its close)

then by 89 I was making almost 12 an hour. which would be like 35 bucks today. not a hell of a lot but pretty decent considering the people next door at Woolsworth made minimum wage. So I got into the Union. Clerks started off at 9.24 (cashiers) but courtasy clerk (baggers, shopping cart getters) started off around 6.50 or 2.50 more than minimum wage

I was a teamster for Avis Rental as an Agent after leaving Walgreens. but the pay was 9 an hour with incentive pay which usually worked out to averaging 15-20 (55 in todays money?) selling insurance waivers of damage or theft.
I left and worked for a Hotel Union which is Local 2 now. different branding back then.

I technically hold 3 Idle cards in 3 different Unions but don't have the physical cards. I could hit up a union shop but I don't want to work part time or full time and have medical issues at work and can't "abandon my post"

nothing more shameful. like a College girl walking the Walk of Shame but instead fucking everyone and leaving your post.

It's right here in this thread in black and white dumb-ass. UFCW 5 was never posted in this thread until I correctly posted that Walgreens never had any union employees in the bay area until this year when 14 pharmacists at 10 stores joined UFCW 5.
