Might I recommend a fake plant that is ivy like with long tendrils. Also a small stack of books are a great way to style a bar cart.
fake plants are OK with real plants to create atmosphere without having to tend to every single plant's different watering schedual because all plants dont need to be fed water everyday.
real plants in say a sun room or section of the house will create oxygen. and if you can build a greenhouse or a room you can shut the doors, it will be like an oxygen therapy room. try and get caterpillars and see if they can mature into butterflies to buzz around. get a Gecko and or a Chameleon -
