I was a member of TOTSE up until the end. I remember frequently visiting the site from 2004-2009. After TOTSE shutdown, I tried out Zoklet.net and Motherless(guess it's a porn site now?), but it was never the same. Eventually, I stopped posting, stopped visiting, and forgot about it all.
I've known about Bitcoin's existence for at least 10 years. I remember talking about it and people saying, "Stupid fake internet money. That will never work." And here we are today, 100,000 USD.
BTC was some real underground shit back in the day. Nothing like today. No guides, no info, and before the Silk Road really only computer geeks knew about it. Which got me thinking, how did I know? How did I know about BTC?... TOTSE
Hear me out:
January 03 2009 - BTC Genesis Block
January 08 2009 - Block 1 Mined
January 10 2009 - TOTSE Database Crash
January 17 2009 - TOTSE Shutdown
Any old timers around that remember anything interesting?

I remember this happening.
Were you by chance a member of Totse in the early 2000s, specifically September 9th, 2001 in the bad ideas section?
Jeff Hunter posted something very... umm... serious.
I'm not at liberty to provide more details but my co-retard Paul Wozny has many of the details.
By noon on September 11th, 2011 everything had been entirely erased with no mention outside the memory of those who beliebe.

What /exactly/ do you remember?
I hung around bad ideas. That was my favorite section. That date doesn't ring a bell... but maybe a possibility I was around

I remember everything but I cannot speak on it so freely, I don't know who you are pookie.
But I can tell you, there was a lot of relevant information of a very important concern to a lot of people and it was quickly /removed/ after what transpired.
Wozny isn't bound by the same NDA that I am, he may help you but truthfully. Who are you?

When bitcoin came out it was trading around 7 cents all you had to do was buy and HODL why didn't you HODL?

Sure did. US$0.0009 per BitCoin in 2009.
