Some of the shells are duds. They are shown at the start of each round, so you can see how many there are of live and dud rounds, then they are put into the pump action shotgun in a random order.
Oh it's a video game? I still think wet ones would be more fun. I've had bullets get wet that only worked 1-2/3 times. I thought about giving them to somebody I didn't like.
Then I had somebody give some to me once when I bought a gun and asked if he could give me some bullets too and none out of 15 worked. I'm guessing they got wet(ter) as idk who tf just keeps dummy bullets laying around.

That's stupid. There are no surprises unless some of them got wet.
Besides that all you have to do to win is go second.
It's a video game inspired by russian roullete where there are x amount of lives and x amount of blanks. You play against a "dealer" who's just an npc algorithm. You get X amount of lives, and so does the dealer. Theres also random powerups, like ones that show you if the next round is a live or a dud, let you make your opponent skip a turn, "reshuffle" the order of live/blanks, and give you extra lives. I think there's more too. It's a fun twist on an old concept, but is limited in its replayablity due to it being about as perplex as a game of uno. It was super big a few months ago or a year ago when it first came out, and has mostly died down in popularity recently.

The duds are called blanks in the game, but a blank still contains charge and will do serious damage if you shoot yourself with one.
