Oh Hey, Bradley.
OT:
I LOVED watching I Love Lucy Growing up, and for cartoons I digged the old Pink Panther, Pepe la Pew, & Scooby doo.
I didn’t watch a lot of TV. We had horses… so, we did a lot of outdoor riding kind of stuff… me & my cousins.

We only had a black and white TV till I was about 11..and 3 channels BBC1 BBC2 and ITV. I also was out dawn till dusk doing "rough boy things" so really only watched TV in the early evening and that was whatever my dad picked.

ETA: I wonder what the psychology behind that is…women being the primary consumers of true crime, both books and documentaries etc.
Bc we thrive on the 3 Ds: death, destruction, and being detectives. I blame Carmen Sandiego.

I think television, beer and fastfood ruined a lot of America, especially the poor - middle class.

A lot of people where I grew up had parents (or pareant, but this includes me as well) who wouold work at a factory, get beer, come home, sit infront of the TV and prepare a quick meal for the household, get a bit drunk and go to sleep.

I loved Lucy too :)
I spent most my time outside also but we didn’t have horses lol. I was a tomboy and my Mom was always pissed at me for being filthy from building forts or hurting myself somehow.

Non non biyori is definitely my go-to
Golden age TV is always good if nothing else seems worthwhile
Bojack is always a good depression watch, Rick Roderick’s old lectures are in the same category.

When you’re a single mom that works too hard, sometimes you just want to come home to good ole Reba
