The attack gerbil chia pets seem to take it personally on behalf of their handlers when someone posts anything particularly interesting or relevant/red pilling. That's why spectral and Totse Army kept hacking the site and trying to destroy Bad Ideas.
They were obsessed with either making it boring or shutting it down entirely. So they set up these "cool kids" cliques to try to influence the narrative and attack any free thinkers. They also occasionally post things in attempts to look as though they're one of the good guys or just normal people, but their content can be spotted as it lacks actual substance and only has the illusion of it.
