    I'll never get past 70k posts of the #1 top poster Candyrein on this account even with the nonesense spamming. I can feel the braincells slipping away as I calculate how long I have left somewhere around ~65k posts i'll be almost completely feral & post about as often as HDL or Tortilla and be twice as grouchy and obsessed with fonaplats

    This leads me to believe that social media facebook style posting really does ruin a forum like this and the DH'ers have done irreparable harm to our humble sacred community and that Lanny was wrong for doing nothing.

    This has shaken my faith in Lannyism and only words from the grand Lanny himself will quell this tempest raging within my heart and soul
    This model is generally not well equipped for "personal broadcast" sorts of communication (e.g. the use case served by Twitter or Facebook) as the thread rather than the individual user is the central unit of organization. Long form publication with little or no discussion is typically better served by the myriad blogging options available today. While ISS can easily facilitate reddit/HN style link aggregation or question/answer use cases, it does not make special affordance for these and they may be better served by other software.

    I only had like 48k posts at the start of the year I seriously doubt i'll be able to hit 70k the only reason these accounts have so many is because they are so old. I don't even remember making these accounts, that part of my brain has stopped working long ago

    do the math the top poster only has 1 thread and 99% of their posts in that thread and it's still more than me spamming and they made their account after me DO THE FUCKING MATH
