Are you referring to betel nut? The nut is usually crushed, edible lime is added and then wrapped in fresh betel nut leaves in a type of pouch and chewed. Turns your spit red.

Anyway, I tried using it but I didn't add the edible lime so all it did was make my spit red and the inside of my mouth tingle a bit. -

I saw a documentary on that. what was the name of that one they use in Latin America and or Haiti ? i remember they sent the US Military in to burn their crops or some weird shit.
I think its like this. just like chewing on a Coca plant (cocaine?) the rest of the world uses Coffee or strong Green Tea -
